Been looking for a good halal food truck around this area for a while and I've always been wanting to stop by here to grab food everytime I drive by it and I finally did. There's parking there at the gas station. Went up and order my food and it was ready within 5-10 minutes. Really easy and quick. Ordered the chicken rice platter and the combo platter and they were both really good. Reminds me back in the college days where I got halal around temple university. $10 each platter. I would go back whenever I crave halal. Highly recommend.

My husband stopped at this food cart for the first time, knowing my love of gyros. He brought home two lamb gyros with white sauce. This was hands down the BEST gyro I've ever had. The gentleman running the cart was pleasant, efficient, and obviously skilled. The portions were very generous so we spread our sandwiches out into a couple of meals. We can't wait to return and eat our way through the menu.

I always get the chicken over rice with both sauces and I like them over the spot at the old barracks pawn shop next to them!

Lovely gas station platter yum yum yummy in my tummy I jacked that shit up while driving and blew a hole in my pants when I got home!

Love this chicken and rice truck!! It's located at a gas station, weird but at least there's parking! I get their combo platter with white, red, and green sauce. The green sauce is so good - a customer I was talking to introduced me to it. I also get chopped up pita on top as well. The platter is generous and usually serves as 2-3 meals for me. My only complaint is there's an extra charge for using a credit card so I usually bring cash. The gas station used to take payments but I think they switched owners so now the truck itself takes payments. My combo platter is $9-10 with cash.

It is pretty neat to see random people walk up to this little cart on the side of the road tucked into the corner of a gas station lot; but I think it is just indicative of how people will find good food even if it is in such an inconspicuous place. The Halal Guys carts in NYC this is not; but I think for the $8, the platter is super affordable and the food good! Value for what you get! Recommended for a quick bite.

Overall - Don't be dissuaded by a food cart! Honestly, this food was better than most restaurants. Things looked really clean and 2 gentlemen warmly greeted us. Answered a few questions I had and instructed us the payment transaction is done inside the gas station. Very simple process. By the time we walked back to the cart, our food was packed neatly waiting for us. The consumption experience.... We were actually in route from one place to another so we eat this in our car I'm so glad that we did! The chicken was so tender it basically melted in your mouth. The red sauce is comprised of the prefect blend of spices, packed with a little heat just the way we like it. Then the white sauce compliments that by cooling things down on your palette. The rice had just the right seasoning. There's a large bin next to the cart so if you do choose to eat there you can just get rid of your containers on the spot and keep going! We were SO happy we stopped here - only 10 minutes out of our route - but we'll worth it. And did I mention the price? Ok. Go check it out for yourself. Just wish I had cash on me. These guys are getting a double tip next time we're in the area!

Zara's Food Cart although on wheels and with a hitch for getting on the road, is a permanent fixture of the Riggins gas station on Street Road, Bensalem, PA. Its lime green paint job makes it easy to see on the southbound side. The menu is limited to gyros and over rice options in lamb, chicken or beef Afghani style faire. From what I saw and tasted, its popularity is well founded. My son turned me on to it on our way back from a day visiting Delaware, and just describing his experience there made us hungry to try it. So, we got off RT. 95 and cruised up Street Road a mile or so until we found it. About 4 parking spaces in proximity, but all we needed was one. The cart is tiny which explains the absence of room for refrigerated drinks. Only a small person could work in such tight conditions. Zara be that guy. My lamb Gyro was excellent. A ton of well cut and grilled seasoned lamb, with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and garlicy white sauce, in a soft, thick pita, wrapped in sandwich paper and aluminum foil. It was still hot and delicious when we got home. My son's chicken and rice was similarly loaded. He couldn't wait and scarfed it down in the car. Had Zara had room for vertical grills, shaved the meat off the spit, and set up a few picnic tables to permit dining on site, this would have been a full five star adventure. As it was it was pretty darn close. This one is worth going back to.
